I just spent the last 30 minutes, hunched over on the kitchen floor, flipping through piles and piles of old notes and rough-drafts of an unfinished novel I had started after getting home from my first bike trip in '01.

I dug them out to help flush out some ideas for the 'pilot'. And although the writing is anything but impressive, the story does give me some different ideas on where to start the "test-episode".

More on this after I have my friend, Eric, read over the first chapter and put in his 2 cents... until then, I'm having a hard time telling which parts are simply good ideas and which parts are simply nostalgic.


This wednesday, Tim is flying out to spend a few days in L.A., I'll be picking him up from LAX around 8 on the 29th. I can't wait to see him, it's been a while - the last time he was in town, it was only for one day. I remember us spending half the night on-top of the roof of an apartment building near the end of my street watching the filming of 'Fun with Dick & Jane'.

On friday, we are going to get together for lunch with the producer, Matt - who has never met Tim, so this is a great opportunity for Matt to see why I've been pushing Tim for 'Pedal'.
